Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to secondary school students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Ensure students remain on task and focused during independent work periods.
  • Report any significant issues or concerns regarding student welfare or progress to the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment at all times.
  • Provide general support to the school's operational needs as required.

About You

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with young people.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and resilient approach to classroom management.
  • Hold previous experience working with secondary school-aged children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Exhibit strong organisational abilities and the capacity to adapt quickly to different situations.
  • Have a clear understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection policies.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
