Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualised learning plans, adapting activities and resources as required.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere that promotes pupil engagement, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment processes.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development, encouraging positive interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil support and progress, contributing to regular reviews.

About You

  • Possess demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs in a mainstream setting.
  • Exhibit a compassionate and patient approach, understanding the unique challenges and strengths of each child.
  • Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff, pupils, and parents.
  • Show initiative and adaptability, capable of responding effectively to varying classroom demands.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to fostering every pupil's potential.
  • Relevant qualifications or professional development in SEN support are highly advantageous.
