About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join a flourishing school, making a significant impact on primary pupils' learning journeys. We are seeking an individual passionate about primary education, ready to embrace a diverse range of responsibilities across various contract types, from daily supply to long-term placements and permanent positions, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective classroom support to primary teachers, enhancing the learning environment for all pupils.
  • Facilitate small group interventions, particularly in literacy and numeracy, to boost pupil progress.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays, ensuring an engaging educational space.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis, adapting to individual requirements.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, communicating observations effectively with teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the positive behaviour management strategies within the classroom and school setting.

About You

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in educational support.
  • Possess previous experience working within a primary school setting, understanding its unique dynamics.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Exhibit a patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Show a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
