Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver stimulating Physics lessons across the secondary age range, ensuring all students are challenged and engaged.
  • Foster a vibrant and inclusive classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Contribute actively to the ongoing development and review of the Science curriculum, especially within Physics and Chemistry.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental success.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities that enrich students' scientific understanding and experiences.

About You

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a degree in Physics or a related scientific discipline. Demonstrate a profound passion for Physics and the ability to convey complex concepts with clarity and enthusiasm. Exhibit strong subject knowledge, ideally with a specialism in Chemistry, to effectively teach across the science curriculum. Proven ability to inspire and motivate secondary school students to achieve their full potential in science. Committed to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practices. Possess excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
