Computing Teacher
This is an exciting opportunity to join a inclusive school in Brentwood, seeking a dedicated Computing Teacher to inspire young minds from September, or sooner, on a long-term permanent basis. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital literacy and computational thinking skills of secondary students, fostering a passion for technology and innovation within a supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging computing lessons across the secondary key stages.
- Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Develop and update schemes of work, ensuring curriculum relevance and breadth.
- Utilise a range of teaching strategies to cater for diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or departmental initiatives.
- Maintain a stimulating and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
About You
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in Computing or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the secondary computing curriculum.
- Exhibit a passion for technology and its application in education.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
- Be a highly organised and proactive educator, committed to continuous professional development.
- Whether an Early Career Teacher (ECT), or on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), you will be eager to make a significant impact.
