Key Responsibilities
- Providing tailored support to individual pupils or small groups with special educational needs, both within and outside the classroom.
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalised learning strategies.
- Collaborating effectively with class teachers and other professionals to monitor pupil development and adapt support approaches.
- Encouraging independence and fostering a positive learning attitude among pupils.
- Helping to create an engaging and accessible learning environment that caters to diverse needs.
- Documenting observations and contributing to pupil assessment reports as required.
About You
- Possess a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs in a primary setting.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Exhibit patience, empathy, and resilience when facing diverse learning challenges.
- Have experience working with children, ideally within an educational or support capacity.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute positively to a team environment.
- Hold relevant qualifications or a strong commitment to professional development in SEN.
