Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and challenging Design Technology lessons across the secondary curriculum.
  • Developing creative and practical projects that inspire student innovation.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or departmental initiatives.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment conducive to learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and enhance curriculum delivery.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Possess a strong passion for Design Technology and its practical application.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and contributing to a team.
  • Show a genuine desire to make a positive impact on student learning and well-being.
  • Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level, or be an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to embark on this journey.
