About the Role:

A welcoming primary school in Walsall is seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This role is available on either a part-time or full-time basis, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Encourage children's development through structured play, creative activities, and exploration.
  • Assist with phonics, early reading, and numeracy activities.
  • Help to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development, including settling new starters.
  • Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, outdoor play, and personal care where required.

About You:

  • Experience working with children aged 2–5 in an educational or childcare setting.
  • An understanding of the EYFS framework and child development milestones.
  • A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Teaching Assistance is desirable.
