About the Role

A forward-thinking school is seeking an inspirational Physics Teacher with a Chemistry specialism to join our dedicated Science department. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Physics lessons across all secondary key stages, incorporating a Chemistry specialism.
  • Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and challenged.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative Science curriculum.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives.
  • Support students through extra-curricular activities related to science where appropriate.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrate a strong subject knowledge in Physics, complemented by a specialism in Chemistry.
  • Be an inspiring and enthusiastic educator, dedicated to student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate learning for diverse abilities.
  • Be a collaborative team player, keen to contribute positively to a supportive departmental culture.
  • Show a commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices.
