About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking school. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging Design and Technology lessons across various key stages.
  • Assess and monitor student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Ensure a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials, ensuring they remain relevant, exciting, and challenging for all learners.
  • Actively contribute to the school's wider extra-curricular programme, enriching students' experience of DT.
  • Collaborate positively with colleagues, sharing best practice and contributing to departmental development.

About You

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a specialism in Design and Technology (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for your subject, capable of igniting enthusiasm in young people.
  • Have a proven ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Exhibit strong classroom management skills, creating an inclusive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, always seeking to improve.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
