FULL DESCRIPTION

As a Surveyor, you’ll be a key part of the team, leading surveys, diagnosing building issues, and managing projects from start to finish while supporting operatives and ensuring excellent service delivery.

Skills required:

  • Able to conduct building surveys and preparing technical reports.
  • Diagnose building defects including damp and mould.
  • Capable of managing varied repair and refurbishment projects from inception to completion.
  • Technical building knowledge of working methods, practices, procedures, processes, regulations, and legislation.
  • Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the construction and building maintenance industry.

What you’ll do in this Surveyor role:

  • Carry out detailed building surveys, producing clear, evidence-based reports.
  • Identify root causes of defects and recommend practical remedial actions.
  • Scope and manage repair and refurbishment projects, coordinating contractors and direct labour.
  • Support operatives, providing technical guidance and coaching to ensure high standards.
  • Recruit, induct, and manage staff probationary processes when required.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and reinforce Health & Safety standards on site.
  • Monitor projects through to completion, documenting work, trends, and recurrent issues.
