Product Design Engineer
The role will be varied covering continuous development of existing products/new designs from prototype to production items. The candidate will have the ability to work on conceptual designs through prototype, testing, to pre-production samples and final component approval.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- Using Autodesk Invertor Product Design suite to develop new and updated designs of window shading products.
- Prototype and test new concepts.
- Liaise with internal departments to create manufacturing and installation instructions
- Create images/renders for catalogue and promotional literature.
- Development of current products and creating new designs for the industry.
Essential Criteria:
- A degree in Product Design, design and development experience with Injection moulded product design. Education may be substituted with additional relevant experience.
- Knowledge of drafting standards, GDT.
Desirable Criteria:
- Use of Autodesk Inventor software.
- Sheet metal part design.
- Extrusion profile design knowledge.
Candidates will be team-orientated and able to demonstrate their desire to drive the team and the products forward. A keen appetite to learn new skills and develop as an individual along with the business. You will have the ability to deliver tangible results to the business and not be afraid to ‘get your hands dirty’.
If successful you will complete a three-month probation period.
