Operations Officer

Our nutritious meals attract the world’s poorest children into the classroom, where they can gain an education and hope for the future. The Operations Officer will provide support to departments across the organisation regarding data governance, event planning, insurance, health and safety, logistics, procurement, property and facilities management and travel. The ideal candidate will contribute to the continuous development of operational excellence, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Principal duties include: - Implementation and administration of data collection policies and methods. - Operationalisation of data governance, data quality and other controls to sustain the integrity of data for the organisation. - Planning and organisation of event projects across the organisation. - Support on the day event management – set up, schedule management and supplier coordination. - Provide a travel booking service to the Board and senior leadership team for all travel requests and all other employees for travel outside of the UK on behalf of the charity. - Administration of insurance policies and liaising with brokers. - Point of contact for health and safety policy systems and procedures. - Ensure basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained in our offices and maintain the system for repairs. - Manage all authorised purchase order requests to ensure they are followed up and details are recorded on the appropriate systems. - Organise all office purchases in line with policies and procedures.
