FULL DESCRIPTION

Catering Assistant

Part-time Role

Position: Catering Assistant

Type: Part-time, permanent

Hours: 18 hrs per week, Mon to Fri with potential for extended hours on cover duties or events.

Schedule: Mon 12pm -2.30pm / Tuesday 11am – 2.30pm / Wednesday 11am – 2.30pm / Thursday 11am – 2.30pm / Friday 11am – 4.00pm

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Location: Langworthy, Salford M6 5QQ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of high-quality food and beverages according to Quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all café /centre visitors.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organised workspace in kitchen, café & food areas and stock room. Ensure storage of food and supplies are in impeccable condition and adhering to all health and safety regulations. Maintenance of a clean kitchen.
  • Clear Communication: Good command of English Language and clear communication with Customers and Colleagues.
  • Good Record Keeping: Recording of temperatures in the kitchen and worksheets as required.
  • Cash Handling: Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
  • Stock Taking: Assist in the weekly stock take and stock rotation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Previous catering experience preferred.
  • Highly reliable with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy towards clients, and adept at building relationships.
  • Willingness to be trained on Square POS and cash transactions on the register.
  • Strong team player.
  • Immediate availability to start work.
  • Uniform and comprehensive training provided.
  • Willingness to do some occasional evening and weekend work.
