Catering Assistant
Part-time Role
Position: Catering Assistant
Type: Part-time, permanent
Hours: 18 hrs per week, Mon to Fri with potential for extended hours on cover duties or events.
Schedule: Mon 12pm -2.30pm / Tuesday 11am – 2.30pm / Wednesday 11am – 2.30pm / Thursday 11am – 2.30pm / Friday 11am – 4.00pm
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Location: Langworthy, Salford M6 5QQ
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of high-quality food and beverages according to Quality standards.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all café /centre visitors.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organised workspace in kitchen, café & food areas and stock room. Ensure storage of food and supplies are in impeccable condition and adhering to all health and safety regulations. Maintenance of a clean kitchen.
- Clear Communication: Good command of English Language and clear communication with Customers and Colleagues.
- Good Record Keeping: Recording of temperatures in the kitchen and worksheets as required.
- Cash Handling: Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Stock Taking: Assist in the weekly stock take and stock rotation.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Ideal Candidates:
- Previous catering experience preferred.
- Highly reliable with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, empathy towards clients, and adept at building relationships.
- Willingness to be trained on Square POS and cash transactions on the register.
- Strong team player.
- Immediate availability to start work.
- Uniform and comprehensive training provided.
- Willingness to do some occasional evening and weekend work.
