Are you looking to build a career in technical finance and statutory reporting? This is a unique opportunity to join a high performing statutory reporting team at the heart of our Finance function. As our business grows, so does the need for accurate, compliant, and transparent financial reporting and that’s where you come in.

As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key part in preparing statutory accounts, supporting audits, and contributing to group consolidation. You’ll work closely with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders, gaining first-hand exposure to complex reporting requirements and strengthening the company’s financial integrity. This role isn’t just about keeping the numbers straight, it’s about building the expertise and experience that will set you apart in your finance career.

Your Impact:

  • Audit & Compliance Support: You will assist with statutory audits by preparing working papers, audit schedules, and liaising with external auditors.
  • Statutory Accounts Preparation: Support the preparation of statutory financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Consolidation Assistance: Help with group consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
  • Internal Controls & Documentation: Contribute to maintaining and improving internal control processes, supporting risk management and compliance.
  • Regulatory Filings: Assist with preparation and submission of filings to regulators, tax authorities, and other statutory bodies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and support opportunities to streamline reporting, controls, and compliance processes.

What You'll Bring:

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with strong ambition to progress in a technical finance career path.
  • 1-3 years in an accounting environment, with exposure to statutory accounts, audit, consolidation, or internal controls is considered advantageous.
  • Solid grasp of accounting standards and reporting principles.
  • Confident in Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems.
  • A meticulous approach to reconciliations, working papers, and statutory outputs.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies or risks.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to build expertise in technical and statutory accounting.
