Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Teaching Assistants support learning within the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities. Provides classroom-based support during lessons. Delivers small group or individual interventions. Supports classroom organisation and resources. Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in a primary setting (KS1 preferred)
• A nurturing approach with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for collaborative classroom work
• Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
