Teaching Assistant

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum

Job Description

Working closely with pupils and staff, Teaching Assistants help maintain engagement and progress. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities.

Provides classroom-based support during lessons.

Delivers small group or individual interventions.

Supports classroom organisation and resources.

Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths
  • Experience in pastoral care, youth work, or counselling preferred
  • DBS check required
  • Training in mental health or safeguarding (e.g., Mental Health First Aid) advantageous
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
