Job Description

Working closely with pupils and staff, Teaching Assistants help maintain engagement and progress. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities. Provides classroom-based support during lessons. Delivers small group or individual interventions. Supports classroom organisation and resources. Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children in schools or youth settings
  • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills
  • Awareness of SEND and SEMH approaches helpful
  • Ability to stay calm, consistent, and supportive under pressure
  • DBS and safeguarding commitment essential
