Job Description

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning. The focus is on providing tailored academic and emotional support, adapting tasks where needed, and helping pupils feel secure and confident in the classroom. Strong communication, patience, and consistency are essential, alongside a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

  • Supports pupils with SEND in lessons and structured interventions.
  • Works closely with teachers to adapt learning activities.
  • Promotes confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Maintains safeguarding, care, and wellbeing standards.
