Teaching Assistant

£16,000 - £18,000 per annum

Job Description

Working closely with pupils and staff, Teaching Assistants help maintain engagement and progress. Support may include assisting with lesson delivery, providing small group or one-to-one input, and helping to maintain effective classroom routines. Flexibility, initiative, and clear communication are key when supporting pupils of varying abilities. Provides classroom-based support during lessons. Delivers small group or individual interventions. Supports classroom organisation and resources. Encourages positive behaviour and engagement.

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • To be considered for this role you MUST have previous experience working with children and young people who have additional needs such as ASC.
  • Experience working within a primary school classroom will also be an advantage, with knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  • You will also need an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
