Job Description

A specialist SEND school in Worcestershire is seeking a Behaviour & Engagement Manager to lead on behaviour strategy, pupil engagement systems, and whole-school relational practice. You’ll oversee pupils who require structured, consistent support to regulate, reconnect, and participate positively in their learning environment. Your role will involve guiding staff in behaviour approaches, reviewing pupil behaviour plans, coordinating targeted interventions, and supporting the de-escalation and reintegration processes. You’ll also help develop school-wide systems that are fair, predictable, and sensitive to the needs of pupils with communication differences, sensory needs, and emotional regulation challenges. This role suits someone confident in leading behaviour strategy, skilled in restorative and trauma-informed practice, and able to communicate clearly with families and external agencies. Lead behaviour strategy and whole-school relational approaches. Review, update, and monitor pupil behaviour plans. Coordinate interventions, de-escalation, and reintegration processes. Coach staff in behaviour management and pupil engagement.
