Job Description

A well-established Secondary school in Warwickshire is seeking a Family Support Worker to strengthen communication and support between school and home. You’ll work with families whose circumstances, confidence, or understanding of school systems may affect a pupil’s attendance, wellbeing, or engagement with learning. Your role will include meeting with parents and carers, offering guidance around routines and expectations, and supporting early intervention where challenges arise. Some families may need help navigating school processes or external services; others benefit from having a consistent point of contact who listens, explains, and reassures during difficult periods. Working closely with pastoral leaders, safeguarding teams, and external professionals where appropriate, you’ll help ensure pupils receive consistent, joined-up support. This role suits someone empathetic, organised, and confident working with families in a sensitive, solution-focused way. Support families to engage positively with school life. Act as a link between home. school. and support services. Assist with wellbeing. attendance. and safeguarding concerns. Work collaboratively with pastoral and leadership teams.
