A friendly Primary school in Oxfordshire is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers supporting pupils who benefit from additional guidance during lessons. You’ll help children stay focused, understand tasks, and build confidence as they navigate daily learning routines. Your role will include providing in-class support, helping break learning into clear steps, and offering reassurance when pupils feel unsure. Some children may struggle with attention or independence; others need encouragement to persevere when work feels challenging. You’ll support learning in a way that promotes confidence and gradual independence. Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you’ll help create a classroom environment where pupils feel supported without being singled out. This role suits someone patient, observant, and motivated by helping children feel capable and confident in their learning.

  • Provide in-class learning support during lessons.
