Job Description

A well-organised Primary school in Oxfordshire is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the safety, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of the entire school estate. You’ll play a crucial leadership role in ensuring the premises remain secure, compliant, and ready for pupils and staff every day.

Your responsibilities will include managing planned and reactive maintenance, monitoring health and safety standards, coordinating contractors, overseeing site security, and ensuring the learning environment is always clean, safe, and functional. You’ll also help shape long-term maintenance planning and contribute to whole-school compliance routines.

This position suits someone confident managing a varied workload, proactive in spotting issues early, and comfortable taking ownership of the school’s physical environment. You’ll work closely with the School Business Manager and senior leaders to keep operations smooth and standards high.

Lead daily site operations and maintenance routines.

Manage contractors, compliance checks, and essential servicing.

Oversee site security, including unlocking and locking procedures.

Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organisation.
