Higher Level Teaching Assistant
A well-established Primary school in Oxfordshire is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across Key Stages. You’ll work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted interventions, maintain continuity of learning, and support pupils who benefit from structured academic guidance. Your role will include leading small-group sessions, supporting lesson delivery, and occasionally covering planned activities under teacher direction. Some pupils may need support consolidating learning; others benefit from extension work that builds confidence and independence. You’ll play an important role in maintaining pace, clarity, and consistency within the classroom. Working as part of a collaborative staff team, you’ll contribute to high expectations and positive learning experiences for all pupils. This role suits someone experienced, organised, and confident supporting learning at a higher level within a Primary setting. Deliver small-group interventions and targeted learning support. Support lesson delivery and classroom routines. Lead planned activities when required. Work collaboratively with teaching and leadership teams.
