1:1 Teaching Assistant – Visual Impairment
We are seeking a caring and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a visually impaired pupil within a mainstream setting. You will help deliver adapted materials, assist with orientation and mobility, and foster independence across learning and social routines. Ideal for someone with previous experience or a passion for specialist 1:1 work. Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with visual impairment Adapt learning materials and classroom layout Encourage independence and safe navigation Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Understanding of visual impairment or willingness to learn
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Empathy, discretion, and reliability
