Job Description

Our Place is looking for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with complex and challenging needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school or care setting and a compassionate, calm approach to behaviour. You’ll work closely with staff to deliver tailored support that builds trust and promotes independence.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND
  • Implement emotional regulation and sensory strategies
  • Support learning, social development, and daily routines
  • Work closely with therapists, teachers, and care staff

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEND in education or care
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Driver preferred due to rural location
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
