SEMH Teaching Assistant
A specialist setting in Warwickshire is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to support learners with complex emotional needs. You will play a vital role in promoting wellbeing, emotional regulation, and academic access for students in a nurturing, structured environment. A full UK driving licence is highly desirable due to the setting’s location.
Job Description
Provide 1:1 or small group SEMH support in class
Implement emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
Work closely with teaching staff and therapists
Maintain safeguarding and support personal development
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs
- Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Confident working in a challenging but rewarding environment
- Driving licence preferred
