An alternative provision located near Tamworth is seeking a compassionate and skilled English Teacher to support secondary-aged students with a range of special educational needs including SEMH, autism, and communication challenges. This role combines curriculum delivery with emotional support in a therapeutic, small-group environment.
Teach English lessons adapted to varied academic levels and needs
Plan and deliver engaging content from Functional Skills to GCSE
Promote literacy, self-expression, and confidence in all learners
Work closely with support staff and therapists for tailored interventions
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in English (BA or MA desirable)
- Previous experience in a SEND or AP (Alternative Provision) setting
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
