Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Job Description

A primary school in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced HLTA to lead lessons across Key Stage 2. This role requires someone confident managing a full class, delivering pre-planned lessons, and supporting pupils in preparation for upper KS2 expectations. You will work closely with teachers and SLT to maintain high standards of learning and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class teaching across KS2
• Deliver planned lessons and adapt where necessary
• Support pupil progress and behaviour management
• Provide targeted interventions for individuals and groups
• Collaborate with class teachers and leadership

Desired Experience + Qualifications

• HLTA status or significant classroom leadership experience
• Experience leading classes across all KS2 year groups
• Strong behaviour management and curriculum knowledge
• Confident, organised, and proactive approach
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
