Job Description

You’ll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and follow consistent routines. You’ll assist with communication strategies, adapt tasks with teacher guidance, and provide 1:1 or small-group support during lessons and transitions. Working alongside specialist staff, you’ll help create predictable, supportive learning spaces where each pupil can make meaningful progress.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide structured 1:1 and small-group SEND support across the school day.
  • Follow EHCP-linked targets and adapt activities under teacher direction.
  • Use communication aids, visuals, and routines consistently.
  • Work closely with teaching and therapy teams to monitor progress and needs.

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, ASD, speech + language needs, or SEMH.
  • Confident using clear routines, visuals, and supportive communication methods.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and professional reliability.
