EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant (Part time)
A primary setting near Swadlincote is seeking an experienced EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to support two nursery/reception pupils with Autism and complex needs. One child is non-verbal, and both require high levels of structure, energy, and consistent support. This role requires commitment until the summer holidays, with hours increasing gradually as integration improves.
Job Description
Provide dedicated support to two pupils with ASD and complex needs Implement structured routines and sensory strategies Support communication development, including non-verbal methods Assist with behaviour regulation and safe classroom integration Work closely with EYFS staff and SENDCo
Desired Experience + Qualifications
- Strong EYFS and SEND experience (essential)
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and high needs
- Patient, resilient, and energetic approach
- Able to commit consistently until the summer holidays
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
