Client: Top Fintech

Compensation: £140,000 P/A + Bonus + Benefits

Overview

My client is a well-established and successful tech house working in the finance sector who are looking for a Python Developer, with outstanding technical and communication skills to join their existing team of software engineers.

You will get the chance to work with some of the best technologists out there, hailing from a variety of top tech houses and trading firms, working on some of the most modern, innovative software in finance.

You will have the opportunity to build one of the most scalable and performant data platforms, not only in the finance space, but globally. Working alongside some of the smartest people in London, you will have real input into the end-to-end SDLC and make a genuine impact on a growing business.

The Role

Python Development: Building high-performance systems using Python.

Microservices: Developing and working with REST microservices.

Data Engineering: Handling and processing very large data sets.

Platform Development: Contributing to the design and build of scalable data platforms.

Full SDLC: Participating across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development: Designing and implementing robust backend systems.
  • Database Work: Writing and optimising SQL queries.
  • Big Data: Working with big data tools such as Spark and Kafka.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Requirements

  • Python: Strong experience with Python (2+ years).
  • Microservices: Experience working with REST microservices.
  • SQL: Strong SQL skills.
  • Large Data: Experience working with very large data sets.
  • Big Data Tools: Knowledge of tools such as Spark and Kafka.
  • Finance: Experience working in finance (preferred).
  • Education: Strong formal education, ideally in Computer Science.
