Overview
My client are seeking an SRE / Linux Platform Engineer to work on their low latency Linux estate.
The role is a cross between Linux Systems Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering.
The Role
Platform Engineering: Building, designing and supporting automated solutions for scalable deployment across private and public cloud infrastructure.
Low Latency: Working within a low latency Linux environment.
Project & BAU: Operating across both project work and BAU, automating wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Linux Engineering: Managing and supporting Linux systems.
- Configuration Management: Working with Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
- Containers: Supporting Kubernetes, Docker or Podman environments.
- CI/CD: Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Automation: Writing and maintaining Python scripts.
Requirements
- Linux: Strong Linux experience.
- Config Management: Experience with Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
- Containers: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or Podman.
- CI/CD: Strong CI/CD knowledge.
- Python: Python scripting experience.
Desirable
- IaC: Experience with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi or Bicep.
- DR: Disaster Recovery knowledge.
- Storage: Experience with Block or Blob Storage.
- HPC: Experience with High Performance Computing.
