AI Engineer

A London-based organisation is looking to bring on an AI Engineer to help develop next-generation intelligent systems powered by advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agentic AI approaches. This role offers the chance to work on impactful, real-world applications at the intersection of modern AI and robust software engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced RAG pipelines with hybrid search, re-ranking, and optimised retrieval strategies
  • Build and deploy conversational AI agents with robust multi-turn dialogue and contextual memory
  • Develop end-to-end voice AI systems integrating STT, TTS, and real-time audio processing
  • Optimise LLM performance through fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
  • Architect scalable AI infrastructure, including model serving, monitoring, and observability in production environments

Requirements

  • Experience working on complex AI systems spanning conversational AI, agentic workflows, and voice applications
  • Strong focus on production-grade engineering, scalability, and real-time performance
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including architecture, security, and data governance
  • Exposure to modern AI tooling, LLM frameworks, and cloud-native infrastructure
  • Ability to experiment with emerging AI techniques and influence technical direction
