Physiotherapist – Inpatient & Outpatients

The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with various conditions, formulating treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Applicants should have a BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration, and experience in both orthopaedic inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy.

Physiotherapist Circle Reading Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Part time hours may be considered.

Duties of this role include:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions (dependent on setting).
  • Formulate individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
  • Use a range of therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and discharge planning as appropriate.
  • Refer patients to other services where required (e.g., hydrotherapy, pain management, or community rehabilitation).
  • Manage your own caseload efficiently, working flexibly across inpatient and/or outpatient settings as required.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification).
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Experience in both orthopaedic inpatient and outpatient and MSK outpatient physiotherapy.
  • Hand therapy or women’s health experience advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, assessment techniques, and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
