Senior Registered Nurse - Outpatients Thornbury Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £37,400.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

[Employer hidden] Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team of staff working in the Outpatients department.

This is a full time role at 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern, including late shifts and Saturdays.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients
• Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
• Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift.
• Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
• Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
• Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.
• Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role desirable.
