**Senior Registered Nurse - Oncology Clementine Churchill Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £48,940.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)**

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with national guidance, local policies, and competency frameworks.
  • Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-treatment review, toxicity assessment, and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment cycles.
  • Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day guidance to junior nurses and support staff within the SACT service.
  • Support induction, supervision, and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT.
  • Ensure compliance with SACT governance frameworks, including national chemotherapy standards, COSHH, and medicines management requirements.
  • Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting, and investigation, contributing to shared learning and service improvement.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing.
  • Level 6 or 7 qualification in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
  • Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely.
  • Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
