[Employer hidden] Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our friendly and motivated team of staff working with in the Pre-Assessment department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients.
  • Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary.
  • Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift.
  • Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures.
  • Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision-making.
  • Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
  • Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role desirable
