FULL DESCRIPTION

Climax is seeking an onsite Character Artist for their Edinburgh studio. The role involves creating characters with clean geometry, textures, and materials, requiring several years of industry experience and a portfolio showcasing creative flair and core fundamentals. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Requirements

  • Be able to showcase some creative flare as well as displaying core fundamentals such as solid topology, UV's and texturing
  • A deep understanding and knowledge in Maya and Zbrush plus a proven foundation in Photoshop
  • You should be able to display a folio with a wide range of examples demonstrating flexibility and a good eye for form, shape, composition and fun - we love nothing more than to see someone who loves their craft and enjoys what they do
  • A good working knowledge of Unreal 4/5 as well as experience using Marvelous Designer and/or scan development pipelines is beneficial.
  • Experience with facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps
  • Hair authoring experience - full strand based and hair cards
  • Good knowledge of anatomy
  • Examples of hard surface work
