FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an experienced in-house Audio Designer to join their award-winning development team on an ambitious AAA remaster project. The role involves upgrading, retrofitting, and redesigning audio assets to meet modern standards across various platforms and formats.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience (including at least one shipped title on PC or console)
  • Experience creating sounds on a AAA project
  • Excellent sound design skills and creative ability
  • Proficiency with Wwise
  • Proficiency with Reaper
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to hit deadlines
  • A showreel demonstrating your sound design

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with ambisonics
  • Experience creating content in surround sound or Dolby Atmos

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce audio content of the highest quality in a timely manner
  • Upgrade existing content to meet modern standards
  • Tactically reuse/retrofit assets from previous games
  • Implement game-ready audio into Wwise
  • Implement simple audio hooks into the proprietary engine (animation timelines, VFX assets, emitters in the world)
  • Specialise in one pillar of the game's audio: combat (weapons, explosions, enemies), narrative (cinematics and events), environment (ambience, objects, interactions)
