College Assessor Trainer - Engineering

About the role:
- Plan, prepare, deliver and assess both practical and theoretical engineering sessions across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, including full-time and apprenticeship learners.
- Deliver engaging teaching and learning activities tailored to meet the needs of individual learners, programmes and the wider curriculum, while maintaining accurate attendance records and promoting positive learner behaviour.
- Set, mark and maintain accurate records of coursework and assessments in line with awarding body requirements.
- Conduct regular progress reviews (every 8–12 weeks) with apprentices and employers in the workplace, ensuring progress aligns with key milestones and agreed apprenticeship training plans.
- Maintain high expectations of learner performance, commitment and behaviour, taking appropriate action to uphold excellent standards.
- Contribute to the work of subject and programme teams, as well as relevant committees and boards, supporting the development and maintenance of high standards for programmes and key clients.
- Actively promote the Institute’s provision by attending open evenings, careers events, school visits and other marketing and engagement activities.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the quality of teaching and learning through active participation in the College’s quality improvement, development and observation processes.
Essential Experience:
Industrial experience within the engineering sector.
Essential Qualifications:
Level 3 or above professional Engineering qualification. Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above.
