FULL DESCRIPTION

Salary: Lecturer Grade, spine points 7 – 14, £36,842 - £47,989 per annum inclusive of London Weighting Allowance

Location: Kingston

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, 39 working weeks, 8.45 am – 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am to 4.15 pm on Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • -Effective planning of teaching/learning within designated curriculum
  • -Ensuring that student learning experiences are organised in a progression which supports the development of the individual.
  • -Implementing appropriate assessment, objective setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of educational programmes
  • -Effective management and supervision of team members, including whenever necessary, volunteers, students and visitors
  • -Participation and planning/delivery in appropriate staff development opportunities to up-date or develop new skills.

Key Requirements:

  • -Must hold a Certificate of Education (CertEd) on appointment, or an alternative equivalent teaching qualification, or currently be undertaking or willing to undertake the Certificate of Education (CertEd)
  • -Able to implement appropriate assessment, objective setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of educational programme
  • -Able to communicate effectively with students, carers and professionals.
  • -Able to communicate a commitment to the view that students with special needs can and do achieve.
  • -Able to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and to promote and comply with the College’s Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety Policies
