FULL DESCRIPTION
Work with other members of the Multi-disciplinary Team to provide physiotherapy support to patients, their families and carers.
1. Job Purpose
Work with other members of the Multi-disciplinary Team to provide physiotherapy support to patients, their families and carers
2. Key Tasks
- Organise and administer the day-to-day physiotherapy needs of patients within the Hospice services and in line with prescribed physiotherapy standards.
- Liaise with other disciplines to access, plan, initiate and evaluate treatment programmes.
- Provide information advice and support to patients and or carers in respect of their care.
- Record patient’s progress with treatments, achieving appropriate standard of care for each patient.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss the total needs of patients and audit their care, working in partnership with Medical/Managerial Nursing Staff to promote a quality service for patients.
- Undertake mandatory training to ensure up to date skills and knowledge. Maintain professional development in line with HCPC and CSP standards.
- Work with volunteers to encourage, value and support their contribution to the work of the Hospice.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Location: North Yorkshire Hospice Care inpatient sites, although may involve community visits

Education/Qualifications
- Current Physiotherapy qualification at E A degree level or equivalent
- Current HCPC registration E A
Experience
- Recent experience of working as a senior E A / I physiotherapist
- Experience of working with ill patients with E A / I life limiting illness
- Experience of working as part of a multi- E A / I disciplinary team
- Demonstrable commitment to continuing E A / I professional development
Knowledge/Skills
