FULL DESCRIPTION

Bristol City’s official charity, the [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], has a permanent vacancy for a Management Accountant, to work across both the [Employer hidden] and Bristol Bears Foundation.

Main Duties

  • Develop and manage all accounting operations for Bristol City [Employer hidden] (BCRF) and Bristol Bears Foundation (BBF), including Banking, Payroll, GL, AP, AR and Revenue Recognition.
  • Support both BCRF and BBF CEO’s in medium to long term financial planning.
  • Ensure that month end is complete on an accurate and timely basis, and produce monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Present monthly / quarterly management accounts to the main BCRF & BBF Boards.
  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
  • Lead the annual audit process for BCRF & BBF.
  • Lead the budget development process for BCRF & BBF and hold quarterly management accounting review meetings with budget holders.
  • Assistance with medium and long-term financial strategic planning
  • Cash flow forecasts including the reforecasting of annual budget to manage financial risk.
  • Management and oversight of financial systems to include QuickBooks Online, Dext, Approval Max and Fathom
  • Improve and develop both new and existing processes and efficiencies to support the devel-opment of both BCRF & BBF.
  • Line management of BCRF junior finance staff, whilst working closely with the BBF bookkeeper.
  • Any other reasonable duties

You will have

  • Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant or studying for accounting qualifications
  • Experience of working within a Finance function
  • Experience of working with finance systems
  • Previous experience of closing month end and preparing monthly accounts
