HGV Driver
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a HGV Driver to join [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] at our site in Welwyn Garden City. The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV Class 1 license, a good driving record, and relevant experience in driving heavy goods vehicles. The work will include Class 2 multi drop when required.
Main Duties:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle to transport goods to and from different locations.
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatcher and other team members.
- Handle goods carefully and ensure they are secured properly.
Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:
- Valid HGV Class 1 license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred.
- Good driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Ability to read and follow GPS and other navigational systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to handle heavy loads.
