Reporting to the NPD Manager, you will be an integral part of the NPD team, delivering NPD and EPD projects. Preparation of samples, both in the NPD kitchen and factory and the paperwork associated with the samples. Supporting with customer events/high profile visits & product submissions. Attending as required. Conduct product panels. Stay well-informed of market trends, including pork products, to drive innovative and competitive product. Would require traveling to supermarkets to purchase competitor/competitive samples. While responsibilities are site based, there may be the requirement for travel between sites and to customers. Working with our supply base, sourcing new raw materials & Packaging. Conducting cooking generations and validations for new & existing products. Support & lead factory trials ensuring they are planned and communicated effectively and documented.
Job requirements of NPD Technologist:

What you will need:
- Experience within a food preparation environment is desirable but not essential
- Basic culinary skills are required.
- Experience within an office environment desirable and working knowledge of computer programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
- Full valid driving license
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- To be detail conscious under pressure/in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a genuine interest and understanding of food.
Pay and benefits:
- Salary – £30-35k per annum (Depending on experience)
