Despatch/​Order Pick­ers ( Nights)

About the Role

We are looking for motivated and reliable Despatch Operatives / Order Pickers to join our growing team at [Employer hidden]. This is a key role within our logistics operation, ensuring that all goods are picked, checked, and despatched accurately and on time to meet production and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and prepare orders for despatch in line with customer specifications.
• Ensure all products are correctly labelled and recorded before loading.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency to meet daily despatch targets.
• Operate handling equipment safely (Reach Truck or Counterbalance) where trained and authorised.
• Support stock rotation and inventory control within the despatch area.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with site health and safety and food hygiene standards.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Be reliable, punctual, and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Be flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude.
• Hold a Reach Truck or Counterbalance licence (advantageous but not essential).
• Have previous experience in order picking, despatch, or warehouse operations (preferred, not essential).
• Comfortable working in a chilled environment – full protective clothing and warm gear will be provided.
