Process Development Manager (12-Month Maternity Cover)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Contract: 12 month Maternity cover
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are looking for a Process Development Manager to join our New Product Development team on a 12-month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to lead product launches, manage development projects and act as the key link between Development, Technical and Operations teams.
This role will focus on ensuring new products and process improvements are successfully scaled up in the factory, meeting customer expectations, food safety standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage development projects from concept approval through to factory launch
- Lead and support EPD (Existing Product Development) and VAVE projects
- Coordinate factory trials, product testing and process validation
- Work closely with technical, operational and commercial teams to deliver successful launches
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure all projects meet food safety, quality, legal and customer standards
- Line manage and support Senior Process Technologists
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food manufacturing or product/process development
- Strong project management and critical path management skills
- Good understanding of factory processes and food safety standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Experience managing or supporting teams is desirable
