[Employer hidden] Nuclear and Infrastructure have an exciting opportunity for a Detailer to join our team, based at our office in Glasgow.

The purpose of this role is to model detailing and production of fabrication drawings by Interpreting and processing information for structural steel detailing. This will involve producing 3D models of Steel structures based in information from the client.

Your key responsibilities will be to produce and check the models and drawings given by Industrial field class, fabrication drawings and marking plans, including TEKLA modelling. Also to produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings, from architects/engineers drawings.

You will also need to order preliminary materials and be responsible for raising RFI’s (Request for Information) directly to a client and gathering information needed to coordinate details for production.

Good communication skills are needed for the role, you will be liaising with the design team, architects, consultant engineers, and other departments to coordinate projects.

You will need to have extensive experience using TEKLA, and basic IT skills, CAD as a primary, alongside Excel and Word with advanced knowledge of Tekla firm folders / settings would be preferred, alongside a working knowledge of BIM.

Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 07.30 - 16.15 with a 30-minute unpaid break, Friday 07.30 - 14.15 with a 45 minute unpaid break. We offer hybrid working, with Wednesdays and Fridays remotely at your managers discretion.
